Ellie Goulding is a British musician and singer. The singer was born Elena Jane Goulding on 30 December 1986, in Hereford. Ellie Goulding dominated the UK charts in 2010 thanks to her irresistible electronic pop tracks "Starry Eyed" and Guns and Horses. Although she started out writing songs in a folk-inflected style, she eventually grew into a more electronic-influenced artist, touching upon dance music and ambient synth pop. Her unique soprano sibilance and knack of writing engaging, but emotionally honest music, Goulding, much like her predecessors Kate Bush and Imogen Heap is at the top of contemporary mainstream music and an independent, artistic pop.Goulding quickly moved from blogging to printed media, garnering the attention of mainstream magazines like The Guardian and fielding offers from record labels.
